The Economic Crime Investigation Service carry out its own activities of gathering information, investigating crimes of an economic-financial nature, under the direction, supervision and control of the case prosecutor. The general objective of the current project is strengthening the action capacity of the General Directorate of Bucharest Police - Economic Crime Investigation Service, in order to protect the financial interests of the European Union in Romania, by developing the capacities to gather information, investigate and probate crimes of an economic and financial nature. The increase of the operational and technical capacity of the Economic Crime Investigation Service it is closely related to the need to purchase vehicles adapted for undercover investigations / operational surveillance and equipped with high-performance video cameras, laptops, scanners, mobile printers and mobile surveillance in order to facilitate the activity of investigation and prosecution of those identified as perpetrators of criminal acts.
