Description | Swiss energy storage specialist Energy Vault Holdings Inc has partnered with US energy storage systems developer Jupiter Power LLC to install a 100-MW/200-MWh battery energy storage system. The facility will be located at a Jupiter-owned site in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region. This project follows an initial 100-MW/200-MWh facility delivered by Energy Vault to Jupiter Power in Texas last summer. The second battery energy storage system will add dispatchable capacity to the ERCOT grid, enhancing its resiliency. Installation is underway with commissioning planned by the end of summer 2025. |
