Description

Description

"The project encompasses various activities in the field of geospatial statistics. This includes calculating statistics using Earth Observation, spatial analyses and spatial data processing, creating new geometries to disseminate statistical data and exploring new technologies for statistical data visualizations on maps. Project tasks are divided into 6 work packages: one for project management and 5 for methodological work, which includes: - feasibility analysis for visualizing statistical data on thematic maps using Python - development of a methodology for calculating sustainable development indicators (9.1.1, 11.3.1, 11.7.1) using geospatial and satellite data - estimating road distance and travel time between gminas in Poland - area designation of selected land cover forms indicated in the Nature Conservation Act - development of a methodology for obtaining information on the belonging of gminas to functional areas in order to develop vector layers for spatial analyses The project fits both of the themes of work outlined in the call: “Improving access to geospatial data”, “Capacity Building on Earth Observation"". The project results will be easily accessible, disseminated free of charge and re-usable."
