Description | The 1000 Mile Solar project is a 400 MWdc (300 MWac) solar facility located in Yoakum County, Texas. It is developed by Longroad Energy and backed by Meta through a long-term Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement. The project uses First Solar's American-made Series 7 modules and Nextracker's 75-degree stow smart trackers. Construction has commenced with SOLV Energy as the EPC contractor, and commercial operation is expected in 2026. The project will feed power into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid to support Meta's 100% renewable energy goals for its data centers. |
