Description | US-based renewables developer-operator Longroad Energy has achieved financial close and launched construction work on a 300-MWac/400-MWdc solar project in Yoakum County, Texas, which has an off-take agreement in place with Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META). The financial package includes debt financing led by Societe Generale and CIBC, with participation by ANZ, Barclays, and Key Bank, and a tax equity financing commitment from Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc. The project is expected to achieve commercial operations in 2026 and will feed production into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid. It is Longroad's fifth solar facility in Texas, using First Solar's Series 7 modules and smart tracker equipment from Nextracker. SOLV is the EPC contractor, and Northstar Energy Management, LLC provides additional operations and maintenance services. |
