Description | 1000 Mile Solar is a 400 MWdc (300 MWac) solar project located in Yoakum County, Texas. The project has achieved financial close and has recently commenced construction. It is expected to achieve commercial operations in 2026. The project will deliver its output into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid, supporting Meta's target to power its data center operations with 100% clean energy. The project utilizes First Solar's American-made Series 7 photovoltaic modules and employs SOLV as the EPC contractor. Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc. has provided tax equity financing, while debt financing was led by Societe Generale and CIBC, with participation from ANZ, Barclays, and Key Bank. Nextracker provides smart tracker equipment, and Longroad Energy Services along with Northstar Energy Management, LLC provide operations and maintenance services. |
