Description | The 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project is a solar power generation project located in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. It is implemented by SJVN through its wholly owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL). The project is developed on 5,000 acres of outright-purchased land near Village Banderwala and is expected to generate 2,454.55 million units of electricity in its first year and approximately 56,838 million units cumulatively over 25 years. The project supports the Make in India initiative by using domestically manufactured solar photovoltaic cells and modules and contributes to the Government of India's renewable energy capacity target. |
