Description
Description | The Swachandhra Corporation plans to launch 107 fresh waste processing units (FWPUs) in all urban local bodies (ULBs) across Andhra Pradesh. These units will ensure proper disposal of solid waste through segregation, reuse, and recycling. The project includes door-to-door garbage collection with segregation at source, processing of waste at FWPUs, and setting up waste-to-energy plants in several cities. The project aims to eliminate garbage dumps in urban areas by processing waste daily and will also generate revenue by selling dry waste to units that use it as raw material. Additionally, 36 faecal waste processing units and sewer treatment plants will be set up in the state. |
