Description

Portuguese energy solutions provider Greenvolt Next has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with UK renewable power producer Infinis to deliver around 118 MWp of solar capacity in England and Wales. The agreement covers two projects: the 68-MWp California Solar Park in Stockton-on-Tees and the 50-MWp Gowerton Solar Park in Swansea, which Infinis will operate. Both projects have secured contracts for difference and will include battery storage. Greenvolt Next will be responsible for design, procurement of technology, and construction of the sites. Work on the California project began in March, with construction at Gowerton expected to follow shortly. The two solar farms are due to be completed by summer 2027 and are expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 40,000 homes annually.
