Description | The Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) has issued a tender for the development of 1.2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects integrated with 600 MW/3600 MWh of energy storage systems (ESS) on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. The projects will have a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI acting as an intermediary for power sale to various buying entities across India. Developers must bid for a minimum of 50 MW and maximum of 600 MW capacity, with ESS capacity of at least 0.5 MW/3 MWh per 1 MW of project capacity. The ESS must be co-located with the project or at least one component if the project is at multiple locations. |
