Description | Geronimo Power has started onsite construction of a 125-megawatt solar project in Jackson County, Michigan. The project is part of the MiSolar Portfolio and will expand Geronimo's footprint in the MISO market to nearly one gigawatt. It is expected to generate clean electricity for approximately 33,600 homes annually and offset 161,300 metric tons of CO2 each year. The project will bring over $70 million in total economic benefit and $28 million in new tax revenue over 20 years to local communities. Construction is led by Barnhart Energy Company and is projected to support around 300 construction and service jobs. |
