Description | The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project achieved a major engineering milestone in Gujarat’s Bharuch district with the launch of a massive 130-metre steel bridge near Tralsi village. The bridge is part of a planned 330-metre structure over active freight railway tracks on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. The steel span weighs nearly 2,900 metric tonnes and is part of one of India’s most complex high-speed rail infrastructure projects. The bullet train corridor plans 28 steel bridges overall, with 14 of Gujarat’s 17 planned steel bridges already completed. |
