Description | NLC India Limited, through its green arm NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), has floated a commercial tender to secure 1,500 acres of land on a long-term lease in Gujarat for developing utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power infrastructure. The project aims to support India's clean energy targets by scaling green capacity away from lignite and coal-based power generation. The project will have an estimated generation capacity of 300 MW, with land parcels of at least 500 acres each, located within 50 km of a GETCO substation of 132 kV or higher. The terrain must be flat and outside protected ecological zones. The selected bidder will arrange land and site readiness within nine months, including legal clearances and lease agreements for nearly 30 years. |
