The project involved installing a new large sewer tie-in structure and rehabilitating an existing structure to efficiently convey wastewater to the treatment plant. The contractor innovatively cast the large structure above ground and lowered it into place to avoid costly bypass systems, using corrosion-resistant materials for long-term performance. The project included placing nearly 2,000 ft of 54-in. fiberglass reinforced pipe and 2,100 ft of 42-in. pipe through Salt Lake City's Rosewood Park, restoring impacted areas, and adding recreational facilities based on community feedback.
