Description | 186 Energy has applied for multiple five-year Investigative-Use Licences (IULs) to study the feasibility of potential wind energy projects near Maxan Lake, south of Babine Lake, north of Fraser Lake, and near Telkwa in the Bulkley-Nechako region. These studies aim to measure wind and other technical, environmental, engineering, and land use characteristics to determine the viability of future wind power projects. If feasible, projects could range from 100 to 200 MW capacity with a relatively small land footprint and significant economic benefits. |
