Description | The project involves setting up a 190 million litre per day (MLD) water treatment plant at Aluva to improve the drinking water supply for Kochi city and surrounding areas. It is the second largest plant in the district after the existing 225 MLD plant at Aluva. The project includes replacing old pipelines, constructing storage tanks, and ensuring smooth water supply to Thrikkakara municipality. The plant will be constructed on 5 acres of KWA land near Matha Theatre, Aluva, with demolition of old employee quarters before construction. |
