The new development will be a 415,000-square-foot residential building with 435 units over 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, renamed 1999 Eye St. NW. Clark Construction is the general contractor responsible for demolition and construction. The project is expected to be completed with first residents moving in by May 2028. It benefits from a 20-year tax abatement through D.C.'s Housing in Downtown program to encourage office-to-residential conversions. |
