Description | The auction of transmission facilities aims to grant public electricity transmission services for the construction, operation and maintenance of transmission facilities that will form part of the Basic Network of the National Interconnected System. Qualified through Decree No. 10,565, of 12/08/2020, as recommended by CPPI Resolution No. 108/2020, Transmission Auction No. 1/2020 includes 1,958 km of transmission lines and 6,420 MVA of transformation capacity, distributed in 11 lots. Investments of around R$7.4 billion are estimated and the generation of 15,434 direct jobs, distributed across 9 States of the Federation. Public Hearing nº 046/2019, in which subsidies and additional information were collected to improve the proposal for notice, was held in two phases. The first during the period from 12/20/2019 to 02/03/2020 and the second between 05/14/2020 and 06/29/2020. On 08/06/2020, Auction Notice No. 01/2020 was forwarded to the Federal Audit Court (TCU). On 11/10/2020, the final version of the Notice was approved by ANEEL. Transmission Auction No. 1/2020, was held on 12/17/2020, at the headquarters of B3, in São Paulo, ended with an average discount of 55.24%, the third largest discount in transmission auctions ever held, and featured an average of 13.5 bidders per lot. Of the 11 lots auctioned, five went to the second phase in open outcry bids, as there was a difference of less than 5% in the RAP values presented in the first phase. The winning companies will be entitled to receive the Permitted Annual Revenue for providing the service from the commercial operation of the projects. The duration of the works varies from 36 to 60 months and the 30-year concessions are valid from the signing of the contracts. The contracts were signed on 03/31/2021.
