Description | Transmission Auction 1/2023 was promoted on 6/30 by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). With 9 lots on offer in 7 states of the federation, all auctioned, the event foresees investments of around R$ 15.7 billion, the largest sum in absolute numbers estimated in an auction of its kind, with the creation of 29.3 thousand jobs direct jobs and 60 thousand direct and indirect jobs. The nine negotiated lots aim for the construction, operation and maintenance of 6,184 kilometers of transmission lines and substations with a transformation capacity of 400 megavolt-amperes (MVA). The projects will be built in Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Sergipe. The term for commercial operation of the projects varies from 36 to 66 months, for concessions lasting 30 years, counting from the signing of the contracts. Lot 1 of Transmission Auction No. 1/2023 was won by the Gênesis Consortium, formed by the companies The Best Car Transportes de Cargas Nacionais e Internacionais (92.52%) and Entec Empreendimentos Eireli (7.48%). The consortium presented an offer of R$ 174.1 million, representing a discount of 66.18% in relation to the Permitted Annual Revenue – RAP (revenue to which the entrepreneur will be entitled for the provision of the transmission service upon entry into commercial operation of the installations). The estimated investment of the lot is R$3.16 billion. Lot 1 consists of transmission lines with a length of 1,116 kilometers (km) located in the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, as well as the construction of the 500 kV substations Campo Formoso II, Barra II (with synchronous compensation) and Correntina. The works aim to expand the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo to meet the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with emphasis on power plants wind and solar. The estimate is for the creation of 5,739 direct jobs. The deadline for completing the project is 66 months. The projects that make up lot 2 were purchased by Rialma Administração e Participações. The value offered by the company was R$347.8 million, representing an average discount of 51%. The estimated investment of the lot is the largest in this auction: R$4.35 billion. Lot 2 requires the construction of transmission lines with a length of 1,614 kilometers (km) in the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais. The facilities will contribute to the expansion of the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo to meet the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with emphasis on the wind and solar plants. The works should be completed in 66 months, with an estimated creation of 7,909 direct jobs. Lot 3 was purchased by Cymi Construções e Participações, which presented an offer of R$70.9 million, representing a discount of 52.13%. With an estimated investment of R$921.4 million, it contains 349 km of transmission lines in Minas Gerais. The project will contribute to the expansion of the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, with the purpose of meeting the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region , with emphasis on wind and solar plants. Construction is scheduled to take 60 months and is expected to create 1,842 direct jobs. The company Furnas Centrais Elétricas S.A. took lot 4, with an allowed annual revenue of R$68.7 million, which resulted in a discount of 45.75% in relation to the initial price. Lot 4, with an estimated investment of R$786.6 million, consists of the 500 kV Janaúba 6 – Presidente Juscelino Transmission Line, with 303 km, in Minas Gerais. The project will contribute to the expansion of the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, with the purpose of meeting the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region , with emphasis on wind and solar plants. The construction of the line, scheduled for completion in 60 months, is estimated to generate 1,573 direct jobs. Lot 5 is made up of 1,006 kilometers (km) of transmission lines in the states of Bahia, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. The purpose of the construction is the expansion of the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, with the purpose of meeting the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with emphasis on wind and solar plants. The deadline for the works is 66 months and the creation of 4,849 direct jobs is expected. This lot was won by the Engie Brasil Consortium, formed by Engie Transmissão de Energia Participações II S.A. (99.99%) and Engie Brasil Energia S.A. (0.01%). He presented an offer of R$249.3 million, which resulted in a discount of 42.80% in relation to the Allowed Annual Revenue predicted by the Agency in the amount of R$435.9 million. The estimated investment is R$2.67 billion. Lot 6, won by Celeo Redes Brasil S.A. was sold with an Allowed Annual Revenue of R$99.9 million, which resulted in a discount of 48.23%. The estimated investment is R$1.2 billion for the construction and operation of the 500 kV Xingó – Camaçari II transmission line, with 714 kilometers (km) in the states of Bahia and Sergipe. The new line aims to expand the transmission system in the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, in order to meet the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with highlighting wind and solar plants. The deadline for the works is 60 months and the creation of 2,406 direct jobs is expected. Lot 7 was sold by Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (CTEEP), for the amount of R$ 218.9 million, representing a discount of 41.81%. The estimated investment is R$2.3 billion for the construction of 1,044 kilometers of transmission lines in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the new 500 kV yard at the Leopoldina 2 substation. the transmission system of the Southern Area of the Northeast Region and the north of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, in order to meet the expectation of contracting high amounts of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with emphasis on wind and solar. The deadline for the works is 66 months and the creation of 4,182 direct jobs is expected. Lot 8, won by the Gênesis Consortium, formed by the companies The Best Car Transportes de Cargas Nacionais e Internacionais (92.52%) and Entec Empreendimentos Eireli (7.48%), presented a final offer of R$ 19.5 million, with discount of 55.35% in relation to the Allowed Annual Revenue. With an estimated investment of R$259.5 million, it consists of the 230 kV Recife II – Bongi C1 and C2 Transmission Line, in Pernambuco, with a total of 38 kilometers including overhead and underground sections. The construction aims to increase reliability in service to the metropolitan region of Recife. The deadline for the works is 66 months and the creation of 471 direct jobs is expected. Lot 9 was sold by Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista (CTEEP) for R$7.5 million, representing a discount of 50.36%. This lot, with an estimated investment of R$94.2 million, foresees the construction of the 500/138 kV Água Vermelha Substation, in Minas Gerais, including the installation of the automation system to control the flow of reactives, with a total of 400 mega -volt-amperes (MVA) in transformation capacity. The facilities are necessary to add reinforcements to the system in the northwest region of the state of São Paulo, in order to expand the flow of surplus photovoltaic generation and biomass. The deadline for the works is 36 months and the creation of 313 direct jobs is expected.
