Description | Infinity Power, backed by Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), has achieved financial close on the 200MW Ras Ghareb Wind Farm in Egypt. The project secured US$153 million in senior debt from EBRD, Proparco, and JICA. Construction began in September 2025, led by POWERCHINA as the EPC contractor. The wind farm is expected to be operational in 2027, generating approximately 810,000 MWh of clean electricity annually, powering over 300,000 homes and reducing CO2 emissions by around 390,000 tonnes per year. |
