The duration of such an assignment can range between one and twelve months. Duties and locations should be proposed by the participant and approved by the Directors of the partnering Sea Grant program and partnering NMFS Science Center, Regional Office, or Lab.Up to $200,000 may be available for Sea Grant outreach (extension, communications, or education) professionals from Sea Grant programs.
