2019 Intelligent Transportation Systems Upgrade

• The project consists of the upgrading of existing intelligent transportation systems (ITS) assets, as well as the introduction of new technology on the buses of the City of Stratford’s transit fleet. • The project will deliver the following outputs: upgraded GPS equipment, including bus call out voice and signage, new Automated Vehicle Location technology and a new real time arrival smartphone application. This project will improve communications with bus operators and general ridership, will provide real-time data to users on bus schedules and will improve the experience of riders. • The project will result in improved quality and safety of the public transit system in Stratford, Ontario.
