Description | The project includes the purchase of 35 electric-powered school buses. The electric school buses will replace 35 diesel-powered buses in the 2021-22 fiscal year. The diesel buses being replaced are 13 years old. The aim of the project is to mitigate green house gas emissions and provide sustainable transportation for students in the education system as part of Prince Edward Island’s Climate Change Action Plan. The project will also include the installation of charging stations for each bus. |
