2026 Canadian Cost Guide

released

Altus Group Limited released its 2026 Canadian Cost Guide, an annual comprehensive benchmark of hard construction costs for real estate development and infrastructure projects across all asset classes in major Canadian markets. The guide provides detailed hard cost data by asset class, city, and on a per-square-foot or per-unit basis, drawing on data from more than 6,500 development projects representing over 1.6 million square feet and more than C$573 billion in collective value. It serves as a practical tool for initial budgeting or as a benchmark for estimating costs across different Canadian regions and building types.
