MorGen Energy, the hydrogen arm of Trafigura, has approved a 20MW green hydrogen production facility on the outskirts of Milford Haven, Wales. The project repurposes a decommissioned oil refinery site to produce around 2,000 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen annually using PEM electrolysers from ITM Power. Description | MorGen Energy, the hydrogen arm of Trafigura, has approved a 20MW green hydrogen production facility on the outskirts of Milford Haven, Wales. The project repurposes a decommissioned oil refinery site to produce around 2,000 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen annually using PEM electrolysers from ITM Power. The hydrogen will serve hard-to-abate sectors such as ports, manufacturing, and chemical plants, supporting industrial decarbonization and laying the groundwork for a hydrogen infrastructure corridor in south Wales. |
