Description | The 21st Century Schools and Education Capital Programme is about creating learning environments designed to improve the delivery of education in the 21st Century. The first phase of the programme contains following school projects: Cefn Saeson Comprehensive, Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera – Bro Dur, Ysgol Newydd Swansea Valley, Ysgol Newydd (Coed Darcy) and Abbey Primary School (Neath), Ysgol Cybi in Holyhead, Ysgol Awel y Myndd in Llandudno Junction, Ysgol Hafod y Lôn, Penrhyndeudraeth, Ysgol Glancegin in Bangor, Rhyl High school, Holywell Learning Campus, Deeside 6th in Connah’s Quay, Ysgol O M Edwards in Bala, Ysgol Hafod y Wern in Wrexham, and Coleg Cambria in Wrexham. It is a major, long-term and strategic capital investment programme. It aims to deliver: learning environments in Wales that will enable the successful implementation of strategies for improvement and better educational outcomes greater economy and efficiency for learning environments through better use of resources a sustainable education system in Wales that meets national building standards and reduces the recurrent costs and carbon footprint of education buildings. |
