Description | Adani Power Ltd. has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. to supply 2,274 MW of electricity from a new 2,400 MW greenfield thermal power project to be developed in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur district, Bihar. The plant will feature an advanced 3×800 MW Ultra-supercritical design and will be executed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model. The first unit is expected to be commissioned within 48 months of the appointed date, with the final unit to follow within 60 months. The project is expected to involve an investment of approximately $3 billion and generate significant employment during construction and operation. |
