2,400 MW Thermal Power Plant in Bhagalpur, Bihar

Adani Power has received a Letter of Intent from Bihar State Power Generation Company to develop a 2,400 MW thermal power plant at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur District of Bihar. The project involves setting up a greenfield 3x800 MW Ultra-supercritical power plant under the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model. The plant will supply power to North Bihar Power Distribution Company and South Bihar Power Distribution Company, with the first unit commissioned within 48 months and the last within 60 months of the appointed date. The project is expected to create approximately 15,000 jobs and boost industrialization in the state.
