Description | Pelagos Data Centres plans to develop a 250MW off-grid data center campus in Gibraltar. The facility will be constructed in five phases on a 20,000 square meter site near the Port of Gibraltar. The first phase is scheduled to be operational in late 2027, with subsequent phases following approximately every 18 months. The data center will be powered independently of Gibraltar's existing power grid using renewable energy and liquefied natural gas (LNG). It will be built to Tier III standards with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of approximately 1.2 and will include a public leisure facility and initiatives to repurpose heat for community projects. |
