Description | US solar tracker and fixed-tilt racking supplier GameChange Solar has been contracted to supply its Genius Tracker technology for a 258-MWp photovoltaic (PV) project in Benban, Egypt. The project includes the delivery of GameChange Solar’s 1R × 4 string tracker architecture, designed for the site's terrain and civil requirements, and to address high-heat and high-dust conditions common in the Middle East and North Africa. The Benban solar park is owned by Infinity Power and will be integrated with 120 MWh of battery energy storage capacity to help Egypt increase the share of renewables in its energy mix to 42% by 2030 and 65% by 2040. The installation contractor for the project is Hassan Allam Constructions. |
