The auction of transmission facilities aims to grant public electricity transmission services for the construction, operation and maintenance of transmission facilities that will form part of the Basic Network of the National Interconnected System. Transmission Auction No. 2/2019 included 2,470 km of transmission lines and 7,800 MVA of transformation capacity, distributed in 12 lots. Investments of around R$4.18 billion are estimated and the generation of 8,782 direct jobs, distributed across 12 States of the Federation. Transmission Auction No. 2/2019 held on 12/19/2019, at the B3 headquarters, in São Paulo, ended with a record average discount of 60.30%, the highest in history and had an average of 10 bidders per lot. Of the 12 lots auctioned, four went to the second phase in open outcry bids, as they had a difference of less than 5% in the RAP values presented in the first phase. The winning companies will be entitled to receive the Permitted Annual Revenue for providing the service from the commercial operation of the projects. The duration of the works varies from 36 to 60 months and the 30-year concessions are valid from the signing of the contracts.
