Description | The 2nd October Colony Marathi School on R A Kidwai Road, Sewri, was planned to function from a standalone building in a rehabilitation project sanctioned in 2009. However, the builder left the school out of the plan initially and added it only in 2013 after BMC's education committee intervened. Instead of a standalone school building, the builder constructed a 21-storeyed residential building and allocated seven 280 sq ft flats on the first floor for the school. BMC did not accept this arrangement, leaving the area without a proper school run by the civic body. |
