Description | German renewables developer VSB Group has secured a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD) for a 303-MWp solar project in Poland as part of the 2025 renewable energy auction programme. The project, VSB's largest to date, has all necessary authorisations and is planned to start construction in October 2025. Located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, northeast of Wroclaw, the solar farm will cover over 260 hectares and is expected to generate electricity for about 117,000 homes annually. Grid connection is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. The project may evolve into one of Europe's largest hybrid energy projects, combining photovoltaics, battery storage, and wind power, depending on economic and regulatory conditions. |
