35 MW Kinguele Aval hydropower project on the Mbei River

The project involves the development of a 35 MW run-of-the-river Kinguele Aval hydropower plant and substation located on the Mbei River in Gabon. The project consists of the design, building, financing, operation and maintenance of the plant. It will deliver about 13% of the electricity needs of Libreville and save more than 150,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. The concession project includes the construction of a gravity concrete weir, a power plant, a stilling basin, and a substation.
