Phase 2, an early planning stage, is nearing completion, examining stations, train frequency, and rail upgrades needed. Federal funding covered 80% of Phase 2, with the state funding 20%. Additional state funds are needed to proceed, with a final decision expected in 2029 and travel starting in the early 2030s. |
