Information Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd., Government of Rajasthan has come up with 400 kV Switching Substation at Bikaner New and associated transmission line & works with a ticket size of 699.86 INR Crores. This project in Electricity Transmission sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project RVUNL propose to set up a 2000 MW solar park in bikaner ,out of which 810 MW would be sale to discoms of rajasthan under existing PPA with their thermal generators has been considered in the studies whereas the blance1190 MW developed by IPPs, would be considered in phase -II .Secondly two solar parks of capacity 700 MW have also been recived for intra- sate grid connectivity . in view of above , existing 400 KV GSS would not be sufficient to evacution of envisaged 2700 MW above solar parks . hence it is proposed that a new 400 KV GSS Bikaner .To create additional evacuation corridor toward Bikaner.
