Description | North Macedonia's state-owned power transmission company MEPSO will initiate international arbitration proceedings against Bosnia and Herzegovina's majority state-owned engineering company Energoinvest over a disputed contract for the construction of a 400 kV transmission line to Albania, after the project was not completed as planned. MEPSO claims Energoinvest failed to meet its obligations, completing only 24 foundations out of the planned 269 pylons (4.4% of total works) before abandoning the site. The original contract was terminated by MEPSO in December 2024. Subsequently, a new contract was signed in December 2025 with a consortium led by Croatian manufacturer Dalekovod for the construction of the transmission line. |
