Description | Bidding has been launched by the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) for the development of two solar projects totaling 500 MW within the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park in Al Jahra Governorate, Kuwait. The projects include the 500-MW Dabdaba (Dibdibah) Power Generation Project and the Shagaya Renewable Energy Project (Phase III – Project II). The winner will be responsible for design, financing, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of the power plants, with ownership transferring back to the government after 30 years. The photovoltaic farms will supply green electricity to Kuwait’s national power grid under a long-term power purchase agreement with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy (MEWRE). |
