Description | The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will invest in a 531MW solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Romania, developed by Israeli renewable energy company Nofar Energy. The portfolio comprises three utility-scale PV plants located in the Giurgiu and Dâmbovița counties of southern Romania: the 73MW Slobozia project, the 256MW Corbii Mari project, and the 169MW Iepuresti II project. The funding includes €64 million from EBRD for construction support and €128 million mobilized from commercial lenders. The Slobozia project is contracted under a 15-year Contracts for Difference (CfD) agreement awarded in December 2024. |
