The project involves two independent power producer (IPP) projects fueled by domestic gas, contributing 550 MW to the national grid over the next couple of years. The power sector reform aims to harness gas and renewable energy resources to power industrialisation. LNG from the GTA project will supply fuel for a 250 MW combined-cycle power plant in Mauritania and Senegal during the first phase. |
