Description

Description

The project builds on existing mobile working methods and will integrate new technological advancements to enhance healthcare infrastructure and communication in Northern Scandinavian communities. The primary objective of the project is to optimize the healthcare workflow by leveraging 5G technology. It aims to use mobile solutions and 5G infrastructure to facilitate the exchange of data-intensive information. The scope includes studying network slicing and local core networks in hospital settings to ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality of service (QoS) are met, ensuring continuous and reliable communication during critical healthcare processes. The project will implement 5G-based solutions for better indoor facility management, particularly focusing on sensory measurements of the indoor climate via IoT. These activities aim to improve energy efficiency in hospital environments and ensure a more robust and adaptive healthcare system. The project also aims to enhance both intra and interhospital communications, which is crucial for the seamless sharing of patient data. The project's expected impact is to significantly improve healthcare delivery by introducing advanced communication technologies that support energy efficiency and real-time monitoring of hospital environments. These benefits will lead to better adaptation to evolving global conditions and demographic challenges, creating a more resilient healthcare system capable of addressing future needs.
