6ME PROJET D'ALIMENTAT EN EAU POTABLE

The sixth drinking water project is part of the Bank's intervention program for the development of the drinking water supply sector in Morocco and meets the drinking water needs of a population of about 2 million. It includes several sub-projects concerning the cities of Tangier, Marrakech, Casablanca, Sidi Kacem, Ouarzazate, Benguerir, Assa Khémisset and Tiflet, as well as sanitation studies and actions to improve the control of water quality. The main activities of the project cover: (i) the pipes; (ii) civil engineering; (iii) pumping stations; (iv) power lines; (v) booster stations; (vi) water intakes; (vii) laboratory equipment; (viii) equipment; (ix) technical assistance; (x) training and (xi) supervision of the work. The project is scheduled to be completed over a period of 4 years at a total cost estimated at UA 49.80 million.
