71st and 72nd edition of the International Short Film Festival Oberhaus

ongoing

Oberhausen offers an outstanding platform for the promotion and the discovery of new films and talents from Europe and around the world. Every year, we expect around 7,500 films to be submitted. In light of the experiences during the pandemic, we have decided to develop comprehensive dialogue offerings in the digital space in addition to the on-site event in order to expand the limited time and space available in Oberhausen. The festival presents a varied programme that includes competitions, thematic film series as well as children's and youth events both on site and online. The programme is complemented by panel discussions, industry meetings, film education workshops, public events and satellite events outside the festival.
