72 Mixed-Income Affordable Homes in Currie Neighbourhood

under construction

The federal government and Onward Homes have partnered to build 72 new mixed-income affordable homes in Calgary's Currie neighbourhood. The project includes a 62-unit apartment building and a 10-unit townhome development designated for women and children. Construction is well underway and expected to be completed by December, with occupancy starting in the new year. The project is funded by Onward Homes with grant support and deeply discounted land from the federal government. The City of Calgary supports the project through its Housing Incentive Program, which waives development fees and accelerates permit reviews for affordable housing.
