Description

Description

South African independent power producer Pele Green Energy formally inaugurated the 75-MW Graspan solar farm in Northern Cape, developed in partnership with French utility Engie SA. The project is part of South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) and is one of two projects delivered by the Pele Green Energy and Engie South Africa partnership, the other being the 75-MW Grootspruit solar farm. Both plants reached commercial operation earlier in the year and contribute power to the grid to help close South Africa's supply gap and build a more resilient electricity system.
