Petronet LNG is developing a 750,000 tons per year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) project in Dahej, Gujarat, India. The complex will produce 500,000 tons per year of polypropylene and aims to enhance India's self-sufficiency in petrochemicals. The project features cold energy integration at the LNG terminal, reduces capital expenditure by Rs. 400 crores, and annual operating expenses by Rs. 120 crores. It is strategically located in the Dahej Industrial Zone to meet the demand for propylene, hydrogen, and polypropylene in Western India, contributing to 10% of India's polypropylene demand-supply gap and creating significant employment opportunities.
