Description | The project involves the demolition of the existing 34-story office tower at 77 Beale Street and several other buildings, followed by the construction of a new 1,225-foot-tall office tower, which would be the tallest building in California. The redevelopment includes renovations of historic buildings along Market Street and potential housing or hotel rooms at the former PG&E/Matson Block. The project also includes new construction at 50 Main Street with two variants: a 285-foot apartment complex or a 400-foot tourist hotel. The full build-out will add 1.92 million square feet of office space, 250,000 square feet of commercial/retail space, and parking for 700-850 cars. |
