Description	The Lagos State Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GreenPlinth Africa for the distribution of 80 million clean cookstoves in Nigeria. The project aims to reduce indoor air pollution, promote clean energy access, and tackle deforestation, benefiting especially women and children in underserved communities. Lagos State will lead the first phase of deployment, distributing six million cookstoves free of charge starting from Makoko in June 2025. The initiative aligns with Lagos' THEMES Plus Agenda and includes the inauguration of Africa's first subnational carbon exchange.
