9th Avenue Festival Street Redevelopment

The project involves redesigning 9th Avenue between Meridian and 5th Street near the Fairgrounds in Puyallup to create a pedestrian-friendly, environmentally responsible festival street. The street will support temporary vehicle closures for community events, featuring a curb-less design, additional lighting, seating, and environmentally friendly stormwater management techniques such as porous asphalt and pervious concrete. The project is a public-private partnership with the Washington State Fair and includes design elements that pay homage to the Fair's history.
