Description
Description | "The ""Bridging Cultures: A Heritage Exchange for Sustainable Communities"" project aims to foster a rich exchange between Nadur Local Council (Malta) and Comune Di Zafferana Etnea (Italy) through a collaborative journey centered on art, agriculture, and tradition. Over a 3-day program, participants—including folk dancers, artists, beekeepers, and farmers—will engage in workshops, cultural activities, and discussions to strengthen ties between the two communities. The project’s first objective is to enhance engagement in cultural preservation, encouraging both towns to protect and celebrate our unique heritage. Participants will explore and share best practices in safeguarding historical sites, traditional art forms, and local customs. The second objective is to improve agricultural sustainability and innovation. Through workshops and farm visits, beekeepers and farmers will exchange ideas on eco-friendly practices, apiculture, and farming techniques adapted to their respective environments. Lastly, the project will strengthen artistic collaboration and networking by fostering creative partnerships between Maltese and Sicilian artists. Joint art projects and performances will build lasting cultural connections and inspire future artistic endeavours. This exchange will promote long-term cultural preservation, agricultural sustainability, and artistic innovation, creating a foundation for continued collaboration." |
